A Bit About Me

Hello, readers! I write plays, screenplays, fiction and non-fiction.  My work has been produced and published nationwide, and I also direct for stage and screen.  Twelve of my plays have been produced.  My most recent film was the short Reflection Day, which I adapted and directed, screening at several festivals. My articles have appeared in the Los Angeles Times, Performing Arts Magazine, Student Leadership Magazine, and the San Diego Union Tribune.  I’ve had the pleasure being a guest on KPBS Public Radio. Also, I spent several years writing, editing and abridging Audie-award-winning audiobooks for a variety of publishers.

I was born and raised in San Diego and graduated from Stanford University.  My writing mentors have included Anna Deavere Smith, Paul Peterson, Janet Tiger, Deborah Salzer and Paula Vogel.

My husband Steve and I in Carmel Valley, California, with our two daughters.  We love God and our family, friends and Armenian community.  I’m honored to serve on several arts boards and enjoy speaking to various groups of artists, writers, youth, and women.  I’m currently at work on a new script, my new novel series The Music We Made, and a book about mentorship.

I write to encourage people to discover more about themselves, God, and each other. Thanks for visiting!
